I moved last month. I was permitted to move things to my new flat a month prior to the move-in date while I was still living in my previous one. In the meantime, my anticipation for my new flat grew. I planned, thought things through and talked to friends about how I could design and furnish the new apartment. I spent evening after evening in the new flat, moving in the first pieces of furniture and looking forward to my future home.

For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.

Hebrews 13:14

Our life here on earth is like a stopover. We live in this world, but it is not our home. We still live here, but we have the opportunity to focus on eternity. Our heart was created for eternal fellowship with God. We can begin to discover this fellowship now.
