A new housing development was recently built near us. I was very impressed by the huge, solid foundations of the new buildings. When building a house, a solid foundation is crucial. Without a strong foundation, the entire building would quickly become unstable and run the risk of collapsing.

The Bible says: The foundation that has been laid among you is Jesus Christ. No one can lay another foundation.

1 Corinthians 3:11

Foundations are not only important for building houses, but also for our spiritual lives. The Bible teaches us that we were created to live in relationship with God—to know and love Him. Having God as our foundation means that our relationship with Him forms the basis for a fulfilled and meaningful life.
