Since Corona, we know how important “Social Distancing” is. For two months, I was unable to visit my mother in the old folks home. Later, there was a glass barrier between us, then a distance of 5 meters while we visited for 20 minutes! The conversations were interrupted by others around. Having a deeper conversation was almost impossible. For mom this was worse than the war she endured as a little girl. 

Our relationship with God lives from intimacy and closeness. He knocks on our heart’s door and seeks again and again to have a relationship with us. I can just open up. If I keep him at arms length, there won’t be a real relationship. The more room the Holy Spirit is given, the deeper grows the relationship to Jesus. 

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Revelations 3:20
